Have you just built a new home?
Starting fresh can feel overwhelming, right? From tricky drainage issues and challenging soil conditions to awkward layouts and blank front and back yards that don’t yet feel like home, we'll help you see the possibilities.
We’ll discuss how to create a garden layout that supports your daily life, establish functional zones like entertaining or play areas, set realistic timelines and budgets, and lay the groundwork with planting foundations designed to flourish over time.

How can you give your garden a fresh look without a full renovation?
If your garden feels tired, overgrown, or out of tune with how you use it, it doesn’t mean starting over is the only option. Together, we’ll identify the elements that work, those that need changing, and how to improve flow and usability. We'll help you to refresh your planting, improve maintenance routines, and add low-effort upgrades to breathe new life into your outdoor space, making it welcoming and easy to enjoy once more.

Ready for dramatic change, but not sure what your garden needs?
You’ve lived with your garden for years, but it no longer fits your lifestyle, and you want a completely new look.
We'll help you create a space that feels right, just like it should have been from day one.
We'll provide guidance on what stays and what should go, how to realign the space with your lifestyle, soil and site considerations, and where to begin when creating a brand-new garden from scratch.

Do you have a small space but big garden dreams?
As property sizes shrink, outdoor spaces can become more compact, but they don’t have to feel limited.
Whether it’s a courtyard, balcony, rooftop terrace, or narrow side garden, we'll help you unlock its full potential with clever layout, purposeful zoning, and planting that brings both function and beauty. We’ll explore ways to improve flow, create privacy without crowding, and introduce planting strategies tailored to small spaces, from layered beds to vertical gardens and or containers. This is about creating a spacious and intentional feel for the space, regardless of size.

Could your outdoor space do more for your wellbeing?
Gardens can do more than look good, they can support how you live and feel. Whether you want a peaceful retreat, space for socialising, a sensory experience, or a connection to nature, we’ll explore design elements that nurture wellbeing and personal expression.
The result will be a garden that feels good to be in, personal, purposeful, and deeply restorative.

Need help choosing the right plants for your garden beds?
Sometimes, the key to a garden you love lies in the plants themselves. Whether your garden feels patchy, lacks seasonal interest, or is difficult to maintain, we'll guide you in selecting the right plants for your soil, light, and lifestyle.
We’ll work through balanced palettes that consider colour, texture, and year-round appeal, so you can plant confidently with a clear plan for ongoing care.

Landscape Design
Whether you’re starting from a blank canvas or looking to transform an existing garden, we’ll help you create a space that is beautiful, functional, and tailored to both your lifestyle and your site, all while keeping your long-term goals in mind.
Depending on your needs, we can offer three levels of design service:
Concept Plan: a big picture layout that explores how the garden flows and functions.
Master Plan: a more detailed design that defines materials, features, and finishes.
Planting Plan: a precise guide to plant species, placement, and spacing for long term success.
Each design solution is practical, thoughtful, and underpinned by horticultural expertise. Our focus is on creating gardens that thrive and evolve with you and provide a strong foundation to build on, whether in one stage or over time.
Design services include:
We don’t offer construction drawings or project management. Instead, our focus remains purely on design and planting, giving you the confidence that your garden has been designed with plant knowledge at its core. What we provide is a solid design foundation backed by extensive horticultural insight, so you can move forward with confidence, whether you're working with a landscaper or building it in stages.
We create gardens that are beautiful, functional, and tailored to your site and lifestyle. From initial concept and site analysis to planting plans, hardscape layouts, and detailed design documentation, I guide the process personally, ensuring a seamless, thoughtful, and stress-free design experience.
We create bespoke gardens throughout Bayside, Mornington Peninsula and Southern Melbourne, extending into both the Inner and Outer Eastern suburbs.
Every garden is unique, and our approach reflects that. After an initial consultation, I’ll prepare a custom proposal outlining the design process, what will be created in your garden, and the timeline, crafted for your site and vision, so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.
The process for designing your landscape with Julie Graham Landscape Design begins with an initial consultation to discuss your vision and goals for your outdoor space. From there, we will create a custom design plan that includes plant selection, hardscaping elements, and any other features you desire. We will work with you to refine the design until it meets your expectations.
At this time, we don't offer maintenance services for existing landscapes, including pruning, mulching, and seasonal tidy-up. However, we can recommend services to keep your garden looking its best.
